Kin Dza Dza
Arguably, it's the best sci fi comedy ever made and yet it's also the most famous film that nobody has ever heard of! Kin Dza Dza is a giant of science fiction and near the top of all good sci fi movie lists. If you like good, unusual cult sci fi -you need to see this film! Checkout the SadCAST review of Kin Dza Dza or click the links below to see the film on the Mosfilm Youtube channel.

Re:Another Season of TtR?
Submitted by SadGeezer on Sun, 25/04/2004 - 22:50.Just sent off my email (sent one to tvontv@scifi.com and another to program@www.scifi.com (and copied to feedback@www.scifi.com and bhammer@usanetworks.com)). Anyone else sent their email yet?

Submitted by CLR2 on Mon, 26/04/2004 - 14:24.I want to believe that it'll work but it seems that it might not, if SCI-FI was interested they would have found writers for season 2 by now... you never know, maybe Mr. Vitale is just taking his time. Hopefully with the best intentions of striking a deal with some hot-shot writers. The guy that writes for Buffy is pretty damn good...

Submitted by SciFi fan on Mon, 26/04/2004 - 17:39.I sent an email, but hell I also sent an email when they didn't bring back William Shatners "Fright Nights". What pisses me off is that Sci-Fi will waste more money developing a show with ultra-regurgitated scripts like Tremors, when you could produce a dozen animated shows with a hundred times more material for writing fiction for the same amount.
Most of the "Greats" in terms of television were never big hits in their first season. Seinfelds pilot and first couple of episodes were *terrible* and by that I mean beyond terrible.
TTR has the best animation, great characters and Universe, but terrible writing at times. I'm not saying the writers are bad writers, they just suck at writing for this show sometimes. They dont need A/B list writers to make this show great either. They just need writers who comprehend the depth this shows concept provides and utilize it rater than overused contemporary humor and fart jokes. Or if you do use the preceeding be unique about it and use your surroundings.
The show has massive potential and Sci-Fi like this we need, rather than reality shows and more Stargate spinoffs, Stargate: Las Vegas anyone? =0
Give it a chance Sci-Fi
Check!
Submitted by aquabloodstone on Mon, 26/04/2004 - 17:56.Done, done, done and done! Just zipped off an e-mail to all listed parties at the networks. Let's hope they take heed. I've only seen the last two episodes, I'd like the chance to see more.

Submitted by CLR2 on Wed, 28/04/2004 - 17:24.Actually animation is much more expensive than live... as a matter of fact, the only thing that really makes a live sit-com relatively expensive are salaries. Look at Friends...I wouldn't say the studio set cost them a lot.
Well money talks, so we'll see what happens to TtR. Everyone keep their fingers crossed.

Submitted by Tentacle on Fri, 30/04/2004 - 00:34.Kinda sad to see only a few responses to this so far. I hope this isn't a reflection of apathy on the topic. And if fans are not compelled to write here, are they gonna send the emails? I would hate to see this show get cancelled. Does anyone think an online petition would get a good response? Combined with the emails it could be enough to send it over the top.I would be willing to put up a couple of bucks for it's creation and promotion though I don't have a lot of time to be actively involved. How about it html programmers?
Re:Another Season of TtR?
Submitted by Headgehog on Fri, 30/04/2004 - 04:50.TtR fandom isn't very strong at the moment. The traffic on this bboard has improved over the last few weeks, but that's not saying very much. And the official bboard at scifi is seeing less posts then us! I'm not sure why there aren't very many active fans for the show. I know (from site stats) that are a few thousand closet fans, but not many who are contributing. What gets me is how the bboard at Mad Mad House is so busy?!
An online petition might not be a good idea, since there's such an inactive fan base. The online petition for God Emperor of Dune barely even has 500 sigs, and Dune has a huge fan base!
Other shows had fans send in little trinkets to try to save the show. Farscape: crackers, Roswell: tobacco sauce, Invisible Man: glitter. As a joke, maybe we should send in porno mags and beer for Tripping the Rift.

The idea isn't to send them things that are actually useful and have value!
I think just a large red or black "6" filling up one page could be something anyone could e-mail, FAX, or send in and be creative about on their own accord. Or perhaps even Sixs tattoo.
Lets just hope it doesn't go that far!
Ironically, the glitter for I-Man raised quite a few eyebrows, and had the post office even telling Sci-Fi off, as it occurred smack-dab in the middle of the Anthrax scare.

When I think a red on black Six I think:

Maybe a sexy Six centerfold complete with signature and lipstick kiss 8)
