I think you may have got that mixed up, they didn’t orbit Fire and Water for 4000 years, they were in stasis for that time prior to arriving at Fire and Water.
Besides I don’t think that the time they spent at Fire and Water has any impact on Earth’s time frame, as either the planet had not been created or they were no people on it, until the souls arrived there.
I would go with the planet being there with no people before Fire and Water was destroyed, and that Earth had no life in human form, but had your dinosaurs and other life forms.
It would explain the missing link if Mr D is suggesting that the human race were just deposited on there from Fire and Water.
