I guess I need to define what “winning in life means to me.
We constantly yimmer-yammer about this show and want to give it accolades that ot may at times deserve; and at times NOT deserve; such is the nature of life. They harp constantly about realism and what it means to be human.
And is it real to think that man is only this animal following his passions and darkness; using his keen sense of instinct and mimic to constantly pull from and manipulate his enviroment to meet those needs.
But yet his is but a highly evolved monkey.
Is it real to go the other extreme that man was created by divine presence…. that his every waking moment is tabulated, and counted, and cross-referenced to be here or here or even here for his destiny. Everything mapped out and charted from first breath of life to last. Then, this divine child rests eternally in the clouds, when saying the magic words about belief and a quick I’m sorry to those he had hurt when he carried out pre-determined erring in sin.
Or one two many errings lead to a fiery eternity; but planned.
But yet he is divine AND Man, but not as good as some; better than others.
The hierarchy of the blessed and cursed.
Ahem….. i cannot buy either of these.
When I have time let me give you an alternative; one that works for me, but….
i want to get back to Harry Potter
and Dowl saw 2 eps of Carnivale; I’m beginning to get a feel for when you put your hand in something.
And you do much better collaborated work then alone; you must know you need to bouce ideas, right. Not an optional okay, it’s a roundtable when we can fit it in; this is neccessary for creative process for you.
your best works are collaborated works otherwise you are TOO dark and creepy.
Comes from fertile imagination and economic stability and more how do I say it… you have base needs met ;in fact over met; so you hunger to spread your wings to other areas of life where you have needs and desire you also need met. in other words you get a tent, clothes and food you go looking for other needs you get a woman and from that kids ; and everything is fime; you yearn for another step.
This is human, to strive to yearn for that next step of understanding. Though you may have met these needs and have those that will constantly meet those needs and in fact overmeet those needs to the point of smothering…. you will always yearn; you will always burn…. and need and desire.
That is what it means to be human and it how one learns to convert what one might call the animas in us to the rational intelligent, loving part of the divine us is the reality.
Not the material stuff, not the power or the praise. all of that is outside of us; a RESULT of this constant struggle; not the goal but the afterthought; not the main meal; the dessert that really can be skipped after a full satisfying meal.
You Dowl have made dessert your main course in life; of course you’ll look sick’ of course you’ll get sick; you aren’t getting what you need; the food you need for growth.
Well that is all and enough for now. (more than enough 😛 )
