I’m finishing up Carnivale and that seems to keep my slight interest though the Scudder find could have been better.

It is definitely not wowing me. “Pick A Number” in Carnivale wowwed me.
Parts of Occupation ; I sat up straighter in my seat, but no wow factor.
Some one is too complacent, and when writers get complacent, the story suffers. Play the character card all you want but the talent can only pull a bad story out of a mire so many times.
And really,truly, I didn’t watch Buffy or Angel, didn’t want to, don’t want to. They are right up there with Smallville, Dr. Who, and various and sundry shows that do not interest me or if i turned it on would not keep my interest.
I’m an adult; not a teenager; so the networks may aim toward Daddy’s credit card but I have no interest in angst.
And you tried that last season, did it pay off?
