No worries Bonnee, I don’t feel provoked
at all, actually you’ve livened the board up a bit.
I think Aleck enjoys these kind of posts, I always enjoyed the brain bashing that Aleck and DT790 use to give each other, it was fun watching them pit their intellects against each other, now your on the scene, I can see those days coming around again.
I can’t wait for you to start sparring with DT, he’ll have you chasing your tail like a mad dog for days on end!!!
It’s all good fun, and I know that you are looking for a good philosophical debate on Lexx…you’ve certainly come to the right place for that.
My only point is that after all said and done, Lexx has been this way since it began, you can debate it till your blue in the face, but it ain’t gonna change.
It’s obvious that Paul D’s message to anyone who watches Lexx is ‘like it or lump it, it’s my creation and if you don’t like it…then tough’, which really is how the fans treat those who feel Lexx is not meeting their expectations.
I honestly agree with many of the points you made, but it will never change my opinion that Lexx is the best Sci-Fi to come our way since Star Wars.
I have yet to see a Sci-Fi programme that has dared to be different, and has been original from day one, at least Lexx isn’t scared to experiment and it doesn’t care what other’s think of it.
