Oh, man…Cronenberg!!! The Brood is one of my favorites. Great turn by Oliver Reed in that one, and the kids! THE KIDS!!! Yoinks! Oh, and I feel sorry for anyone that has to sit through a TV viewing of Videodrome. Just how does one show a film dealing heavily with S&M/snuff/porn on television? And aren’t the TV programmers kind of missing one of the key points of the movie? And then there’s Scanners (ignore the sequels) and a great performance by Patrick “The Prisoner” McGoohan. Plus, there’s people blowin’ up! Blowin’ up reeeal good! (Channeling the spirits of Big Jim McBob and Billy Saul Hurok from “Farm Film Report”…obscure reference there…free meat pie to the first to Name That Show)
