Oh, my goodness! When I saw that video with Walken I was in a half-awake, half-asleep state and I thought I was trippin’! Just trippin’! I lay there in bed with my mouth wide open, staring at the tube, waiting for someone to cut in, sayin’ it was a joke or something. I didn’t realize it was a video until he sat down and the video credit came on (I missed the opening credit). I loved it! Christopher Walken is a man of endless surprises and talents! Sapph, I don’t know what to tell ya ’bout re-runs, honey. I mean, there are re-runs and there are re-runs. There are shows that come along that you like, that you watch and y’know if they happen along again, you’ll catch ’em again, maybe. Then, there are shows that come along that stop you in your tracks, that make you gawk at the screen, that mark a generation, that create new art forms, that scar you for life, that change you for life, these films are new almost every time you put them in your VCR, DVD, what have you. An example, I am very hard-pressed to pass up a Twilight Zone Marathon. And, if I walk past a TV screen that has any part of the StarWars trilogy playing, I will be immobilized instantly, until the credits have finished rolling. Now, Lexx may not be Ben Hur or Star Wars but it is different enough from the ‘herd’ that I have stayed and gawked, and can gawk afresh for many, many moons to come. I need those DVDs because my tapes, unlike the EveryReady Bunny, are not gonna keep going and going and going, at this rate. Maybe it’s just me, but I’m always finding new stuff when I re-view episodes (hey, maybe I’m slow that way )
