Who would make for a good Kai?
I have to say that the bun thing mystified me at first. I remember thinking, “OK, what’s up with that? Does anybody really think that’s attractive? Or cool? Or intimidating? Does that poor actor get paid enough to wear that wig?” etc., etc. I didn’t realize then that it was never INTENDED to look cool or attractive. It probably was a bit of a shock when the fan mail started pouring in for MM despite the hair. I’m trying to think, have there been many other actors or actresses that still look great despite really bad costumes or makeup? Johnny Depp, for example, looked a lot better as Edward Scissorhands than he did in any of his movies where he had the scruffy facial hair.
As for you and your picture quest, Squishy, there are lots of great vidcaps you can download from various Lexx sites. Pat’s Michael McManus tribute has, as the name implies, mostly Kai-oriented ones. Many of them are using up a good deal of my computer’s memory even as we “speak”.
