It actually didn’t occur to me that Lyekka might be an actual replacement, in those words. It was easy to tell that Lyekka was going to stay on as part of the crew, but at that time I didn’t think of her a replacement. More as another charactor to either like or dislike. The word replacement didn’t occur to me.

Yes, she is more Cluster lizardy than Zev was. And she seems to have a bigger libido. That might account for being affectionate towards Stan.
