Any ideas why Sci-Fi Europe would’ve pulled the Sunday repeat of Trip?
I missed the one in the week and found myself watching a repeat of HeadF**K last night instead. The only info was that it was a change to the advertised program.

Hrmm that really bites. They showed it on Sci-Fi USA last night at 2am, fell asleep watching it

Really is odd, doubt they would’ve pulled it for content.

Knightrider, The A-Team, even Airwolf, these are cult classics. Having only seen 1/2 an episode of Lexx, maybe I’m not in a position to judge, but….

Was he about to say,

“… but I love Lexx more than all those other old shows put together!”

???

or he could have said ‘but Lexx has had such an impact on me, even though I only watched half an ep I have gone and got my hair in a bun and ordered all the Lexx eps on DVD, told my wife to call me Stan the Man, and named my prize rose bush Lyekka!!!
‘Oooh and did I forget to mention that I have stopped buildding a replica of the Knight Industries 2000, to concentrate building a ship that I will name Noah’s Ark, so that I may escape this type 13 planet’…or words to that effect!!!

errrr….no. If you want Sci-Fi, you’d watch StarTrek, if you want porn, you’d watch Men and Motors or some such, but Lexx appears to straddle these 2 spheres of intellectual interest without satisfying either.

Well, you know the saying “to each his own”. I view Lexx as a very satisfying mixture of scifi, dark comedy, and soap opera (not in the conventional sense, of course) – an altogether perfect combination, in my opinion.

But none of that has anything to do with why they would have pulled the reair of Trip. Unfortunately, I don’t have an answer to that question (but can I just say how happy I am that Forever Knight has returned to SciFi? Weee! Nigel Bennet AND Gary Farmer, on one show… Now THAT is a great combination).

By all accounts, TRIP wasn’t fantastic. Ironically, I half watched it with the sound off, planning to watch and record on the Sunday. It LOOKED quite mad, mind!
21 episodes flawlessly taped and then this, dang. Never mind. I didn’t realise that it’d just been put back an hour rather than pulled altogether. Cold comfort there!
