SadCAST S01 Review - Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy

This video podcast was produced in 2006 and is a three part introduction to Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy.
The first part introduces the many forms of the saga and briefly looks at the radio shows, the stage plays and the books.
The second of the review deals with the hugely popular TV series and the Infocom game. There are clips of the show and details of how you can still play the game (one of the most popular in the 1980's) on-line.
Checkout the BBC website if you can't wait :) http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/hitchhikers/game.shtml

SadCAST: Season 1 Review: Cowboy Bebop

I just couldn't resist doing a review of the classic Cowboy Bebop for those of us starved of good sci fi and willing to give anime a try. Re-watching some of the old episodes again was terrific and I really hope I managed to get the feeling of the show over in the four clips I chose (and yes, I did include the falling scene from Ballard of Fallen Angels episode).
In this review I tried the green screen technique and have to report that it was only partially successful (ie. it sucks pants!) so, sorry about that.
This review was produced in autumn 2006.

SadCAST: Season 1 Review: Kin Dza Dza

This video podcast was produced in 2006. Kin Dza Dza is one of the best sci fi films that have ever been produced! It's a sci fi comedy from Russia and is cult sci fi viewing. If you want to checkout something a little different and you don't mind watching something that is "out of the box", you'll want to see Kin Dza Dza.
It's actually hard to get hold of so we have subtitled it and put in onto Google video (search for Kin Dza Dza on Google video to see both parts - We'll leave it there until we are told to take it down).

Again, we still hadn't fixed the audio problems so this may be a little painful to listen to.

SadCAST: Season 1 Episode 17

The audio on this episode encoded disastrously and we haven't been able to recover most of it.
The clips were ok and the presentation by Bonnee was encoded properly. This had a review of Pans Labrinth and is well worth checking out and news about a possible remake of Ghost in the Shell.
In the end, we had to delete the poorly encoded sections as they were just too embarassing to leave in.

What is Science Fiction?

The first part of the first Science Fiction SadCAST produced in 2006 by a few sci fi fans from around the world. The show is a result of discussions in the forums at our website, SadGeezer.Com.
The second part of the first Science Fiction SadCast with reviews of Ergo Proxy and Lots o'robots (LoR). Perhaps the highlight however was Mike getting drunk faster than you could say, "Science Fiction SadCAST Part 2".

SadCASTs are being uploaded to Youtube

Finally managed to find a way to convert the files to a decent enough format to upload to the SadCASTs channel on YouTube.
The SadCASTs YouTube site is at:
Comic Sci Fi

DC disses Marvel to explain why there'll never be a JLA movie -
Marvel's movies have been telling one long interlocking story, what with Iron Man and Captain America feeding into The Avengers, while DC's movies ... haven't. You might think this has been an entirely economic decision. Not so, said DC's chief creative officer today.
Is it me or is anyone else getting sick of Comic Movies? It's getting to the stage where a sci fi film wont be made unless it's first been a comic!
