Help ! I`m looking for wierd and or bad Sci-Fi/ fantasy programmes for a convention item this Feb. I`ve got some… but I`m not sure I have enough .Preferably with recomendations of where I can optain copies of the relevant materials… ( You`d be surprised how many titles I`ve been given that dealers don`t appear to have heard of !
Also, if anyone knows of a good suddenly naked clip ( appart from ” The Strangerers “- I`ve used that) to use for my ” what happens next round. Thanks folks !

I have to leave in a few minutes, so I won’t be able to help much at the moment, but anyway…
Will you only be showing clips (scenes) from the programmes? I guess you’re planning on a DVD presentation (suppose that goes without saying).
I can think of a lot of weird/bad movies like Peter Jackson’s [i]Bad Taste[/i], [i]Basket Case[/i], [i]Flesh Gordan[/i], [i]Fungus of Terror[/i], [i]I Spit on Your Grave[/i], and just plain weird like [i]Videodrome[/i], but I can’t think of really weird/bad TV Sci-Fi/Fantasy programmes at the moment. Though [i]Lexx[/i] is often weird (and sometimes bad), same goes for [i]Cold Lazarus[/i].
I can also think of some great nude scenes (like in Lexx “Supernova”, but no good “suddenly naked” ones at the moment.)
Sorry no time to do a google search to find where you can get the materials at the moment.
I’m sure the other Geezers will be of more assistance. Gotta run, late for work.
Edited for being dang sloppy as I was rushing to type this: I didn’t read the title properly so wasn’t sure if you were also interested in films.
Yeah, Bad Taste is my top reccomendation:

i can think of a couple of items of interest-there’s ‘Otherworld’, a series from the ’80s, and any of the Xtro films (i’m supposed to be scared by rubber alien that looks like it’s being pulled around on a shopping trolley????). though if you’re looking for real inspiration, try watching Sci Fi channel during the day- on of the reasons why i went off the channel!! complete kak!!! also, if you want to checked out wierd and wonderful sci fi, keep an eye out on Bravo. some quite wierd and wonderful stuff turns up on there! I know I`m being a pest here… but, can anyone recommend a Sci Fi film that features Dean ( Quantum Leap )Stockwell I know he`s done a couple of bad ones but I don`t know the titals….
The wierdest and absolute awfullest scifi film I ever saw was a Leprechaun film they showed after something I was watching on Sci-Fi.

Here’s another suggestion for a strange film (that happens to be one of my favourites): [i]Zardoz[/i]! It should be readily available. Watch the trailer, it is truly wack, and often humourously bad (amazed I neglected to mention it before!)

Once again, sorry for not being of more help — you may have been luckier at other forums, partially because it seems that most of the people here are far more knowledgable about good-sci-fi — [i]Andromeda[/i] lovers excepted 😉 — than bad sci-fi (guess that makes me the [i]bad[/i] egg out of the bunch 😛 ). Mind you, this is a ‘cult’ board, and ‘bad’ and ‘cult’ can be synonymous (e.g. the devout followers of Ed Wood), and so one might have expected more suggestions if one wasn’t aware that the Sadgeezer crowd are particularly discriminating, ah, I mean discriminating in their tastes! There’s good cult and then there’s bad cult (e.g. the Scientologists — just kidding to the scientologists at this board — hey, would that make [i]Battlefield Earth[/i] a prime example of a cult film?). 🙄 By the way, that’s a rhetorical question. 😛
I hope that the convention went/ will go well, and please appraise of your selections. Love to hear all about it.

He and his sister watch bad scifi, bad horror, bad kung fu, etc. for hours on end…. I get bored after about 10 minutes. On the other hand, neither one of them ever got into Lexx.:roll:
