SadGeezerKeymasterYou may all know this, but I’ve never actually watched Buffy the show (Yes, I DID see the movie), so I got a kick out of it:
I noticed in the SciFi Weekly news that Buffy is going to have an “all musical” episode tonight.

The article is very entertaining since they seem to to be bragging they’re breaking new ground. Do you think they came up with this idea all on their own? I’m impressed!

GuestYea, youd think Lexx never existed.
I had to laugh watching some of the Extras on the Farscape DVD saying that its the most “edgy, out there sc-fi” and that the idea that they didnt get on was new etc.
Yet again, a total disregard to Lexx. oh well…

Like I pointed out in an earlier thread, the “Bitter Suite” episode of Xena: Warrior Princess pre-dated (air-date wise, and probably production-date as well) “Brigadoom” by over a year and a half. I think that Xena can lay claim to the “unexpected musical episode” title first.

GuestBuffy the show is worlds away from Buffy the movie. Even Joss Whedon, Buffy’s creator, has distanced himself from the movie which he wrote, since it was “fine-tuned” by the Hollywood suits who know what creativity is.
I’ve watched it since the beginning. It’s a little like Lexx in that it’s a combination of comedy and soul-sucking impending doom.
