KeymasterHi all. I tend to get bored at work and send my favorite actors/writers/scientests emails congratulating or just praising their work. I never expect a response, I do this cause much of lifes work is thankless and I want them to know there is people out there that appreciate what they do.
Surprisingly I have recieved personal emails from people such as David Eddings, Stephen Hawking, Fred Ford(go Star Control!). Anyway on the same token I saw Rolfs Email listed and decided to say Hi and wish him the best of luck after Lexx.
As luck would have it AOL must send mock attatchments sometimes and I think it scared Rolf! Probably thought some hacker was attempting to back door him. So thought Id share his words if anyone was interested. Nothing spectacular.
————————————————-
Greetings from Germany back to you and thank you very much
for your nice compliments.
I am glad you liked my performances and hopefully it will last
till the end of the Lexx show!
It makes me really happy, if I get reactions from people like
you !
Thank you again!
Wish you all the best for your future!
Your
Rolf Kanies
P.S.: I couldn`t open your attachment (usely I have got a program ,
which is able to open everything…mmmh……))
What is in there?!———————————————-
I sent him a reply letting him know America Online does some goofy things sometimes and most likely it was just a carbon copy of the email lodged in there somewhere.
But cool to get such a fast reply from a Lexx actor!

GuestROFL Flamegrape, it does in certain situations.
Actually AOL is great if you have a dedicated line. Its an all-in-one center of WorldNews straight from CNN, Sports straight from SI, etc… Its tons easier than paying the same amount for a gateway then having to view them all on individual pages or setup personalized accounts on several different services to get what you want in one tiny client that you dont even need to use unless you want to.
Where it really starts to suck is for dialup users having to route through so many damn proxys and when a program is more “user-friendly” it just means more problems for high-end users thats AOL in a nutshell.
But overall the AOL-bashing is quite undeserved considering its a package far better than Earthlink and similar for the same price which dont offer anything other than an email address and a homepage on your browser. AOL has content that goes beyond anything else available, perfect for home users with families.
