so what was everbody’s thoughts? i personally couldn’t stand the whole xev part but loved the rest especially the HDS refrences. 790 has gotten really aggresive, 2 attemps on 2 people’s lives in 2 episodes, jeez soon he will be knocking off poeple regularly. and what the hell are those neo-mantrid drones.

I was wondering too, was had gotten into 790?? He was always all mouth but little action…Maybe they should rethink that little green cart!! I enjoyed the Xev parts, she’s so trusting and naive about alot of things…but it made me laugh because I knew nothing was going to happen between her and the red-necks… I would of liked to have seen more Kai, but I always feel that way.. I also think Prince is meaner this season, too. As usual they left us craving for more, can’t wait till next week!!!

Loved the new ep, the references to the
trailer parks were expected, even the presence of the Confederate flag and shotguns, alot of that down here (even tho
the ep was shot in Arizona) Kai’s question
to the group in the van was hilarious..
“Have you seen a love slave dressed in
cluster lizard skins?” LOL , like they would
say “Yah, jump right on in…”
The old man in the wheelchair’s voice rings
a suspicious bell, and the references to the
Divine Shadow icon sounds alot like Stargate.. Maya X

I liked this episode, it was crazy, silly, and interesting. I liked the new aggressive 790, I just loved Stan’s line of not being in love with Kai, and 790’s response. 790 is back to being funny, and less whiny. It was nice to see Walter Borden back (After watching Woz many many times I was hoping he’d be in series 4, although I hope he’s a villain!). The Xev parts were good, but I still had to laugh through it. I am eagerly awaiting the next episode!

How about “One Track Tex Sex LEXX”?

Xev is only thinking about sex and nothing else.
Stan is only thinking about sex and nothing else.
790 is only thinking about (sex & Kai) and nothing else.

And then there is:

Prince, who is only and always thinking about how he can become even more evil than before, which can only mean that he is always and only thinking about himself. He was awsome.

Kai, who is only and always thinking about everyone else, but himself. He was awsome.

The old “Good vs Evil” plot? “Kai vs Prince”.

That’s just fine with me.

The Xev, Stan and 790 sub plots are getting sort of old, but I suppose it gives new viewers some background history. I’ll admit that some of it did make me laugh though, which is a good thing.

All in all I’ll be watching it again in about 15 minutes. I have DISH. So I get to watch LEXX at 7:00 p.m. and again at 10:00 p.m.PDT

Hilarious. Interesting.
I do not find it hard to believe that Earth exists in the Dark Universe.
Two things that kind of bother:
It seems as Xev has ‘dematured’, softened or something, I dunno …she just seems real gullibe and naive to the point of bordering on stupid.
Secondly, this is the second time that people have just strolled right up onto the bridge of the Lexx. I can understand how Prince might have found his way around the Lexx, but the Astronauts in 4.01? The Lexx is immense, not only that but the Lexx ate the shuttle in 4.01 yet the shuttle was still intact when the Lexx later ate that chunk of rain forest. When the first time the Lexx ate a spaceship (the episode where it eats the hazardous material) the ship and its contents were destroyed by stomach acid mere minutes after the crew disembarked and was quickly racing up the walls of the stomach as the crew was trying to escape.

The last 20 or so seconds of the show were so kindly interupted by the split screen Sci-Fi channel promo informing me that I was in friday prime and that the invisible man was next, so therefore I missed out on just about the whole scene with the swarm heading to earth, all of it except for like the last 5 seconds …ugh.

There were some LOL moments – like when 790 booted Stan off the bridge! Is 790 going totally psycho? I like! And I’m very interested in the ancient earth artifacts with the Divine Order logo and drawings of HDS. Seems like it may tie in with the vampire-type villain to come, since that last painting was found in the Carpathians. cool.

I loved this episode. Xev, singing with the red-necks was funny… Prince being his usual manipulative evil self… Stan thinking with his crotch like usual, and getting himself in trouble… Kai, with his new brace… Yes!!!!!! What I liked most about this episode, is the possibility of “His Divine Shadow” coming back. That would be awesome! If anyone noticed, the old man in the chair was the “Wozard”, from the first season, and the voice of “His Divine Shadow”. It’s interesting when old favorites are brought back in a new form. I’m just waiting to see when Mantrid comes back in a new form… again heh. Welp, I liked this episode, and I cant wait to see what comes up in the upcoming episodes!

Well, anybody who’s been at this board since the beginning can guess what my foremost thought about this episode was (“My rebirth has begun!”).

The part of the episode that just got me laughing uncontrollably was in the beginning when Stan asks the Lexx how many planets are in the system. Lexx answers “One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, and maybe nine.” There has been a major debate in the last few years as to whether Pluto is a planet or an asteroid. You may or may not be aware of this, I’ve been following the controversey closely, and that just cracked me up!

The Zev subplot was a little lame. Again, the Beans poke fun at rural folk, but not with the wit of White Trash. That song was awful.

Again, Prince is shallow, overacted and annoying, 790 is even more mean (I was yelling to Prince to toss him off the ledge, again), and the Beans seem to be developing the bimbo Zev this season, perhaps to compensate for her intelligence (some people here were complaining about that) in the last season.

Something I noticed but forgot to include in my big post: that paranormal investigation group seems to have the danger of turning into a cult. There are elements thrown out by Dr. von Schatten ( ) suggestive of a future Heaven’s Gate, or even Waco. Is that why they set it in Texas (or was it the Marfa Lights? I don’t know…)?

Xev mut be getting desperate. I mean, Rooster and one of the other guys were good looking, but the others? I agree with what Zarathrusra spoke about 790 being more agressive, although I liked him better before. I saw the preview of P4X, and Lomia is back. Also, I heard that Lyykya will be back soon. AND, whats with the carrots at the end? Will the destroy the earth or will the Wuzzard use them to make another earth goddess propaganda/torture movie? “Sing the brightness sisters”

I’ll say, she cut off part of her outfit! I don’t know how long it’s been like that (I wasn’t paying attention), but now her midriff is exposed where there used to be Cluster Lizard ventral scales and four or five sets of pseudopods (now there are only two). Her skirt looks shorter, too.

What happened? Did I miss something? Has anyone else noticed this change?

What to say, where to start–
This was an entertaining episode, but I’ll have to agree that they took Xev a little too far on the naive scale. Yes, there is a bit less of her costume this season. later on there will be still another one and it won’t be lizard skin. Kai was interesting to watch. They have made him less corpselike and much more curious. It looks like we need to pay attention to minute details as there seems to be a thread of foreshadowing in the 2 eps we’ve seen so far. This looks to be a totally different approach to Lexx than we have previously seen.

It’s not different now from what it was in season 3, is it? I thought it was the same… remember when she wakes up in the first ep of S 3? And she’s on Fire and she’s hot and pulls off the strips of cluster lizard skin? That’s when she first exposed the belly. I hadn’t noticed that it had gotten any more exposing or that the skirt was shorter. Now I’m going to have to look again. I thought I’d noticed some hair changes, but I hadn’t noticed any outfit changes… weirdness…

No, you’re not crazy. You just proved that her costume changed for the third season. Not that it changed for *this* season, which is season 4, which looks pretty identical to the season 3-era photo you posted.

hi,
i just wanted to ask an opinion on something concerning sci fi’s less than elegant editing of shows and how xenia’s character came across in this episode…i’m wondering if scenes showing xev drinking with rooster were cut. my reason(s) for this come from the first few moments of the first scene in
rooster’s trailer – xev is show coming back into the living room readjusting her skirt and then sits down on the couch looking a
little tipsy, i believe she had just come back from making room for the next brew…xev wasn’t naive exactly, but she was buzzed
just a thought…

and yes Hypatia, Lyekka will be back this season. the actress that plays her is named Louise Wischerman – someone has started up a site for her that has a picture, i believe, from this season: http://www.louisewischermann.f2s.com/

i like this entire site a lot sadgeezer!
will be back to check answers & reg later.

I’m one of the viewers that is amused, but bored with the stupidity that I thought Stan and Xev had grown out of during Fire and Water. Especially Stan. How convenient that there was a massive reason for him to change (going to Fire in his death due to his bad deads) but he doesn’t remember. Reset switches SUCK.

I do enjoy all parts with Kai and the plot-furthering elements. i like the humor, but I think the Beans are obsessed with offending everyone on Earth so much that they are making it tough to tell a story. The pacing is frustrating (like Supernova).

The Beans have said that this should be the last Lexx series on TV and I think they ought to get it right (like IWHS and Giga).

Enjoying the fun, but wanting more story, drama, character and intelligence.
