Welp! After all the hassles of the last week I’m afraid that we will just have to resign ourselves to the fact that we’ve lost 3 weeks worth of posts.
The site is back to the way it was on 21st of June [i](plus a couple of posts from peeps in the last day or so)[/i]. [b]You can now post to all the message forums freely. We will not be able to reconstruct the backups as we originally hoped[/b]
I’m really sorry that so many threads have been ruined but the ISP who hosts the site were incompetent enough to corrupt three weeks worth of backups (most people with servers this big backup on a daily basis!!!).
The hosting service is Alcom in London. I strongly recommend that you avoid these people if you can help it. They are pretty bloody bad at their job! The ISP is Orbit Internet of Lytham in England.
I’ll soon be moving servers (at this point I really don’t care what it costs!). By mid August things should be faster and more reliable.
