The banner adverts are really starting to bug me!

They’re so silly! And dispite my trying to make sure that only relevant ads are chosen, they keep slipping in stupid ‘areyouhot.com and russianwomen.com’ ads!
Worse still, I recently noticed that the adserver software was service pop under ads without my knowledge! Disgusting!
As a result I’ve taken the decision to take out the banners from Advertwizard and replace them with rotating ads for areas of this site and others closely related to sci fi TV.
All I need now is for some kind designer to design some real cool SadGeezer banners ….. erm… Flamegrape, how are ya pal!? Interested in a sort of banner exchange deal?

I’ve found a banner system and will be creating banners for various elements of the site to help peeps find stuff.
Many of you prolly don’t know for instance, that SAdGeezer.com has the largest independant sci fi website directory on the net! or that YOU can also become a reporter for the SadNewsfeeds or that there is an extensive Jokers website on this server etc.
Until the new Portal software is finnished, we will hope to help people find stuff with the banner system.
Also, if YOU have a website (cult sci fi related) with banner rotation software, you maybe interested in doing a sort of banner swap. If so, email me.

Thanks to Cat’s timely help, those irritating banners will gradually be dissapearing from the SG Guide website.
The new banner system is very rudimentary (ie the graphics are naff, but until I can find some way getting new banners designed, they’ll have to do.
The system will eventually be informative and provide links to other cool sci fi sites (by the way. It’s very unlikely I’ll accept paid advertising. The website was saved due to the continued, kind and much appreciated help of donations from visitors [img]images/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img] )
