So, FX, you wanted more humor and a functional relationship on the show? Well, will you settle for half, if they pump up the dysfunction to outrageous levels?
That was a total blast of an episode. Hee-larious all ’round. Guess it’s in the cards for all the Summers kids to go through embarrassing cheerleader try-outs. And the Xander/Spike rescues were great (especially the silent Spike/Buffy encounter behind Principal Wood’s back). Best scene, though, IMHO, was in the Bronze, when Xander gets filled with self-loathing after realizing that it was Dawn that he’d been leering at, and Willow responds “right there with ya.”
It was just filled with nutty, chunky goodness.
