Help with entering URL’s in your posts

Some of you may wonder why the screen grows wide and cumbersome in some posts. This is usually because a poster has entered an especially long URL. There is a workaround for this and it’s a lot easier to do than you might think so just in case you didn’t know, try this next time you enter a URL.

[url=/html/modules.php?op=modload&name=phpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=3669&sid=235f7e7788425ac3a1c780fd7a82fecf]/html/modules.php?op=modload&….etc.[/url]
Awful isn’t it!

Try this instead. Enter your text as normal…
[code:1]Checkout this post for help with entering urls[/code:1]

then highlight the words ‘this post’ and click on the URL tab above.

[code:1]Checkout [url]this post[/url] for help with entering urls[/code:1]

now, move your cursor between the [b]l[/b] of the first url and the [b]][/b] and insert an [b]=[/b] sign followed by the actual url. It should then look something like this:

[code:1]Checkout [url=http://www.sadgeezer.com/html/modules.php?op=modload&name=phpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=3669&sid=23 5f7e7788425ac3a1c780fd7a82fecf]this post[/url] for help with entering urls:
[/code:1]

Which results in:

Checkout [url=/html/modules.php?op=modload&name=phpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=3669&sid=235f7e7788425ac3a1c780fd7a82fecf]this post[/url] for help with entering urls:
