Hi Fellow Lexxians,
I’d like to know, which of the movies are your favourites? Which s2 are your favourites? Which s3 are your favourites? Which s4 are your favourites?
My favourite movies are: IWHS & Giga Shadow
s2: Wake the Dead, Brigadoom, Twilight, Woz, End of the Universe
s3: Fire & Water, Boomtown, Gondola, K-Town, a few more I can’t think of at the moment
s4: A Midsummer’s Nightmare, Viva Lexx Vegas, The Trip, Vlad, Yo Way Yo
Have fun & I’ll see you all at Dragon*Con.Lexxians Unite,
Jhevz 😉19th June 2004 at 3:16 pm #72102AnonymousGuest1) Supernova, though they’re all good, it’s my favorite.
2) Norb, Patches in the Sky, Brizon, but every ep in Series 2 stood out, waaay out.
3) The Beach/Heaven and Hell
4) Vlad, The Game

S2- They are all great, but Twilight and Love Grows stand out.
S3- I’m not too fussy on S3, but Garden was great ep.
S4- The Rock, Walpurgis Nacht
20th June 2004 at 3:28 pm #72124theFreyParticipantS1 – I Worship His Shadow I was floored by the visuals. While some of the sets were a bit on the skimpy side, the entire movie had a very different look than any other ‘Space’ movie I had seen.
S2 – Wake the Dead of course. Kai chews the scenery and literally lets his hair down. 😆
S3 – Battle This is the episode that got me watching the series. I was passing through theSpouse’s TV room as was stopped by the gorgeous shots of the balloons against the horizon. This is also when I first heard what Lexx was all about. “Well this dead guy with the bun on this head, some nympo lizard chick and a really dumb captain all fly around in a big bug ship.” When I commented that the dead guy was moving quite a bit for one who was deceased, I was informed that he was a “special kind of dead.”
S4 – Vlad Who can resist an episode with a really butch chick with a cone of hair like that? 🙂 And the Kai Yo-yo
20th June 2004 at 4:28 pm #72126leilaParticipantS1: Supernova – Tim Curry is just fantastic!
s2: Brigadoom. Though there really are some fantastic eps in s2 – Mantrid, Lafftrack, Wake the Dead, Twilight, Stan’s Trial, Brizon…
s3: K-Town was a pretty good Kai moment, and Garden.
s4. Bad Carrot
20th June 2004 at 8:19 pm #72127streudelParticipantSeason 1-Gigashadow is my favourite. I love every moment of it. I’ll never forget how I rolled the first time I heard the Divine Predecessors sing ” We live to kiss his ass! “. And call me a mushy ol’ lop of Squishy drooler, but I love Kai’s interraction with Squish. Supernova is a superclose second.
Season 2- I don’t think I could pick an absolute favourite. Wake the Dead or Brigadoom possibly. After that there’s Twilight, Mantrid, and End Of The Universe. I feel remiss in leaving so many out; it’s such a excellent season.
Season 3-
the frey wrote:
Battle This is the episode that got me watching the series.
Me too. 😀 And my husband’s explanation of the series had me equally baffled at first.
Gondola was fantastic…mmmm…PrinceKai. So much delicious bad boy wrapped into one little blue package. The devil wearing the face of an angel. *sigh* 😈 Oh, and the story was really good, too. 😀
The Beach/Heaven and Hell rocked, too, but I’d have to disagree with Prince’s assessment of Stan’s culpability. 👿 Yeah, I know Stanley judged himself, but Prince pulled quite the Johnny Cochrane on him.
Season 4- As much as I don’t care for this season as a whole, it has some of my favourite eps of the series. The Rock, Walpurgis Night, Vlad, Magic Baby, what an awesome story arc! I could’ve been very happy to have Vlad as a full time villian in the S4 story arc, chasing Kai until the end.
Other standouts were The Game ( can’t decide between this one and The Rock for my favourite S4 ep ) Fluffdaddy, Trip, and Yo Way Yo *sniffle* 😥
20th June 2004 at 9:11 pm #72128iStanParticipant
The Beach/Heaven and Hell rocked, too, but I’d have to disagree with Prince’s assessment of Stan’s culpability. 👿 Yeah, I know Stanley judged himself, but Prince pulled quite the Johnny Cochrane on him.
Agreed. Stan’s sins of commission in life weren’t that bad, and the sins of omission were given too much weight. I didn’t find it credible that he would be sentenced to Fire on the grounds given- the ep was a bit contrived.
21st June 2004 at 2:45 am #72129streudelParticipantQuite frankly, I didn’t accept the idea that Stan would sacrifice millions for the love of May, either. It just doesn’t seem consistent with his character. I have to believe that the Stan I know would’ve had a change of heart even without Xev’s intervention. But that’s just my take on it. Seems the Beans had other ideas.
21st June 2004 at 4:17 pm #72133KillSwitchParticipant1. IWHS, Supanova, Eating Pattern, Giga Shadow – all my favs
2. Wake the Dead, Brigadoom, 791, Stan’s Trial, Twilight, End of the Universe
3. K-Town, Tunnels, The Beach, Heaven and Hell and Garden
4. Midsummers Nightmare, Mort, The Game, Trip and Yo Way Yo of course!!!
22nd June 2004 at 2:48 am #72154JhevzParticipantHi Fellow Lexxians,
Thank you for responding & it’s cool how we all like similiar episodes; 1 of them being, `Wake the Dead’. Wow, you all have good favourites & opinions; this is definitely a good, cool thing.
Keep up the great posts.Lexxians Unite,
Jhevz 😉22nd June 2004 at 1:57 pm #72160mysteriesoftheseaParticipant“Brigadoom” is a strong follow-up. I feel like there are bits and pieces of Kai’s culture hidden in both eps and I think about that at times!! 🙂
…Stanelle
22nd June 2004 at 6:29 pm #72168CesareParticipantSeries 1 – all the movies. I cannot pick just one or two. Cannot be…:-) The first was the very best.
Series 2 – Mantrid, Lyekka, Wake the dead, Twilight, Brigadoom, Lafftrak, End of the Universe…
Series 3 – Fire and Water, Girltown (that ep is sooo sweet), The Beach, Heaven & Hell
Series 4 – Vlad, Midsummer NightmareUnfortunately, I still didn’t get my hands on many s4 and some s3 episodes, so the list is probably somewhat…incomplete.
22nd June 2004 at 9:05 pm #72171aquabloodstoneParticipantS1 – Super Nova, between Tim Curry and Giggerota you can’t beat it with a stick
S2 – 791, Wake the Dead, Nook, Patches In The Sky
S3 – Gametown, Girltown and Gondola(because it was the first episode of Lexx I ever saw)
S4 – A Midsummer’s Nightmare, Bad Carrot, Mort, Viva Lexx Vegas
1st July 2004 at 2:34 am #72263UberToasterParticipants1: Haven’t seen these for *Ages*… so… can’t remember specifics… thought they were all pretty cool though.
s2: A great series… many cool eps. My Favourites: Lafftrak, Nook, Twilight, Brigadoom, The End of the Universe
s3: Disappointing all the way through… didn’t like the limited number of characters and the way the story didn’t seem to be progressing for episodes at a time. Heaven&Hell ended the series, so I suppose that was my favourite.
s4: Haven’t seen it yet! Except TexxLexx… looking at the reviews seems to involve lots of freaks and strangeness though! Looking forward to it!3rd July 2004 at 1:41 am #72286theFreyParticipantBut if you had to pick only one stellar ep, which would it be?
3rd July 2004 at 4:59 am #72288JhevzParticipantFrey & Fellow Lexxians,
That would be Brigadoom, followed by A MidSummer’s Nightmare; they’re both pretty cool & are cool Musicals to watch. I just like watching the show from time to time, especially during the Summer when the repeats are on.Lexxians Unite,
Your Friend,
Jhevz 😉3rd July 2004 at 6:23 am #72289leilaParticipantBrigadoom is my personal favourite as well. It gives lots of background to Kai which is great, but its just soo cool to have it as a musical! I thought it really worked. It manages to be both very funny and at the same time very sad and really captures for me everything that is great about the show 😀
9th July 2004 at 2:38 am #72346UberToasterParticipantBrigadoom is *great*… but I’m going to have to put in second behind…
Lafftrak.
A fairly typical Lexx episode, you might say – but just done better than the rest, IMHO. Probably the funniest episode, too… 790’s chat show was hilarious 😆
9th July 2004 at 1:20 pm #72353leilaParticipantLafftrak is superb. I love the audience of heads, its just so freaky! I also like the idea of ‘specialty show.’ Its an episode that works really well as a stand alone.
14th July 2004 at 4:08 am #72406AnonymousGuestThe movies–Giga Shadow
S2–Love Grows, Twilight, Wake the Dead and Brigadoom
S3-Boomtown, Gondola, K-Town, Girltown, The Key & Heaven and Hell
S4-Midsummer’s Nightmare, Fluff Daddy, The Game, Yo Way Oh.
I enjoyed al of Lexx, just some eps more than others.14th July 2004 at 4:25 am #72407AnonymousGuestLafftrak. What a great ep. A complete story of it’s own as well. Certainly one of my unmentioned favorites.
As for Stan, it’s hard for me to argue for or against, I don’t know all the rules. Maybe the God of the LEXX universe is a bit strange, but…
He selfishly was willing to sacrifice millions to save a girl he’d just met because she was nice to him. The girl murdered someone and his best friend Xev hated her. In my book that there is enough to take the cake.
Stan cowardly abandoned his companion, even though the guy was a twit. He murdered Fifi and Shmore, regardless of their evils, they were no threat at the time and he summoned them. The list goes on and on. Kinda seems like Stan’s a bit evil to me.
Even Kai in all his neutrality and balance, agreed.
But it’s just my take on it. And I think we can all agree that the punishment does not fit the crime, since none really took place with Stan (Other than the aforementioned Fifi and friend). Evil people can be lazy too.
24th July 2004 at 10:30 pm #72489CesareParticipant
The list goes on and on. Kinda seems like Stan’s a bit evil to me.
Well… As Kai said – Stanley has made some bad choices…:-) Stan certainly would not deserve ending up at some nice and friendly town on Water. But as you wrote, his punishment was way too harsh. This may sound somewhat strange, but one’s guilt cannot be measured by the amount of damage he has made…;-)
Stan’s not evil. He’s just as selfish as many (if not most) of us. The trouble is, he bacame a captain of the mightiest weapon of the two universes.
Not to mention, that just living a life of Stanley Tweedle is hell anyway…:-)
Stan’s moral and ethical standards are those of a child. Most of the time he does not care for consequences, ’cause it simply does not slip into his childish, horny mind, that there would be any or that they would matter.
An innocence of sort, actually…:-)25th July 2004 at 3:34 am #72495iStanParticipantYes, Stan has made choices, but his motives were never evil. They might have been immature, as Cesare notes, or poorly thought out, but not malicious or intentionally hurtful (in contrast, say, to Mantrid or Brizon). I think that Stanley is an eternal adolescent who just wants to be loved and cared for.
I also agree with the observation that Stan’s life hasn’t been that great. And even when he turns out to be the captain of the most powerful weapon of destruction in the Two Universes he still gets no respect, and certainly no love and acceptance. That’s got to be hard on a guy. (And despite being captain of the Lexx, it never occurs to him to abuse that power and become a villain- although the potential temptation should certainly have been there. What would you do with all of that power under your control?).
Indeed, Stan (often with the assistance of the robotic spittoon) is the voice of reason, especially in S1 and S2, and does more to help his friends and rescue them than Kai does, often with Lyekka playing a key role. What a man!
8th September 2004 at 2:13 pm #69945KrisiaParticipantSeason1: All esp. I Worship His Shadow
Season 2: The best season so far (but i’ve been watching season 4 on Channel 5 in England i couldn’t say for sure yet). I LOVED Waking the Dead, Twilight, Lafttrak, Brigadoom, and Terminal was sad when Zev died (boo hoo).
Season 3: It was good , but it wasn’t my favourite season. Although i liked Garden (just cause Lyekka came back for a while), and Heaven and Hell was good too.
Season 4: So far Bad Carrot, Xevivor, Magic Baby, A Midsummers Nightmare have been proper ‘LEXX’ episodes.
8th September 2004 at 5:18 pm #69946AnonymousGuestAll seasons seemed to be good to me. Season three was my fave series but my favourite episode was Lafftrak which was awsome.
If I were to recommend an episode to someone who had never seen the shows before I’d recommend ‘I worship his shadow’ not just because it introduces the characters or provides some of the background, but because it shows the superb awe and spactacle of LEXX, and demonstrates so clearly why LEXX achieved such a cult following around the world.
Personally, I think the best episode of LEXX is still yet to be written.
Rationalize much? 😛
He murdered two people in cold blood in Gigashadow. He twice fired upon planets in cold blood (once Earth, one Robot Donut Planet). He condemned an entire world for sex.
And I’m just getting started.
Selfishness and evil are not mutually exclusive. Oops I killed everyone, but I did it for sex so it’s okay?

Stan was far from being a virtuous person, but…
It was him, who decided to fight Mantrid. It was him, who took the moth, went down to Mantrid’s prison and saved his companions. When Kai was willing to execute Jihanna at Stan’s command, Stan decided to let her go (not knowing that Kai would kill him as well, if he decided otherwise). And so on and so on…
Stanley is not virtuous, but he’s not evil either. And when you think a little bit of what Stan probably had to suffer through before the IWHS events, you will get a picture little more complex and complicated than just “little selfish turd”.
Actually, I think, that the fact that HE condemned HIMSELF to endless suffering on level 9 suggests a lot of penitence and supports the opinion, that Stanley Tweedle was in fact quite a nice guy. (I bet that a lot of nice guys we know would end up doing much more harm that Stanley did, if they got a key to the Lexx.)He’s aware of his failings and the worst struggles he has to go through are struggles with his own vices and weaknesses.
Calling him evil seems somewhat harsh and way too radical to me.9th September 2004 at 11:07 pm #69959UberToasterParticipantYay! The Sadgeezer himself agrees with my choice of favourite episode! What do I win? 🙂
11th September 2004 at 1:38 am #72823Raven495ParticipantJust one EP? Battle then. If only for the great banter between Prince and Priest in the ballon. Best character relationship of the series.
11th December 2004 at 1:11 am #73555ladylinaParticipantAgain bringing old topics to light… Sorry, it’s all my fault for not finding this site sooner hehe. (and maybe knowing about Lexx a bit longer than only one month could have helped too) 😉
S1: tough. Gigashadow, although IWHS and Supernova are really really close…
S2: great season!! Wake the Dead and Brigadoom. But all others are very very cool.
S3: very cool season! Loved the whole idea and the building “suspense” kind of thing. First episode of Lexx I watched was Gametown, the shower scene hehehe My first thought was “Freaks”. I watched the rest of the ep, and my second thought was “Freaks”. That means I liked it hehe. Gondola, Battle.
But I still got Heaven and Hell to watch on Monday, so it might change.S4: Still didn’t watch any of it. Hey, spending the last month trying to catch up all the previous eps to have a fresh start with my cable TV for S4 is good enough, right?? hihi
I am a download freak, but my day still have only 24 hours. 😉
One ep: I worship His Shadow. 🙂
Much love.

Ha! All Lexx, all the time! Been there, done that, went to Hali. 😆
I found lexx during a Marathon, but I only saw it in bits and pieces because I had committed to theNeice to take her various places. So, I ordered them…. all three seasons…. once they started rolling in, it was truly all Lexx all the time. 🙂But, on the plus side, I was able to zone out theSpouse, who was going through the change I think. So instead of getting a lawyer to get theCrankyOne off my case, I just watched Lexx. Again and again and again….. He found it difficult to be cranky when I was pausing the TV long enough for him to have a one-sided argument with me, and then when right back to my tapes. 😉 Eventually, I became hooked on the show, and he made it to the other side of the Change. So you could say Lexx saved my marriage, and I owe it all to Battle, the ep that caught my attention. 😆 I am now working on 22 plus years, so thank you Lexx.
11th December 2004 at 11:59 am #73560mysteriesoftheseaParticipant😯 😯 😯 Don’t ask me how that happened! I’d have to…write a book about it!! (Grins!) 😆
Gigashadow has always been my favorite Lexx movie (Season 1),..as I feel it shows Kai as about emotionally human as he can be..given the situation that he is in!! I also really liked the lovely kiss that Kai gaves Zev at the end of the movie and the sweet way that he laid his head on her shoulder in an effort to seek relief from his situation. Gigashadow will always be my favorite Lexx movie!! 🙂

Frey, I can’t say the same about me .My other half was not very happy during the last month, at all. I work around 11 hours a day, so spending the litte time I’m at home watching Lexx wasn’t exactly his idea of quality time hehehe.
But the worst part (for him) is over. Now I can watch it on the TV on Mondays and Saturdays. hehehe
But I’m glad you are up to the half century mark 😉
Much love.
10th April 2005 at 12:21 pm #74514RinParticipantSorry, i feel terrible, i havent SEEN the first series/movies, though the box-set is on its way now.
S2; Hmm ‘Heaven and Hell’ and ‘Boomtown’
S3; Gotta be ‘fire and water’
S4; ‘Yo way Yo’…i actually cried.
Kai will be sadly missed on my TV set.

4) P4X, Vlad, 769, Dutch Threat, Haley’s Comet, Apocalexx Now, Lyekka vs Japan, Yo Way Yo
