Uncon 2001

Delighted to see things are underway. Sadly, I won’t be able to attend any UnCon this year, as the summer is totally out for me. One word of advice though, if you are going to use the University dorms…Jacha, I think you have to contact the Dalhousie Conference Booking offices first to get a block number of rooms? Also, when it comes to booking the rooms individually, make sure you double check with the Hall of Residence as well that they have actually received the booking. I turned up last year and found a room had not been reserved for me at all, even though I had phoned twice and paid the deposit in cash!!! But the receptionist was very helpful though and I didn’t end up having to move accross town…heheheh!!

They’re a tour operator that specialise in Canadian flights etc, and often have deals. A friend of mine is planning to go to Hali later in the year on business, and he quoted and expample of a return for TWO adults came to about £600 in October, including tax and insurance, and if you book accomodation with that, you can get some good discounts as well. You can check on the site for airfares ( Gatwick ) and they do flights from other airports in the UK as well. I have checked the site and it seems to be worth checking out.
