I watched it last night with my friend who had never really cared for Star Trek before and she loved it. What I like about it is that it’s Star Trek without being too Star Trek. It manages to put out your basic Star Trek elements and make it all seem new again. The others were getting repitive and old despite all the twists they tried to put on it as it advanced and some things were getting a tad out of hand. We get to see the beginning when everything was crude.
Oh, and love Bakula as Captain Archer and his conflict with the Vulcan.
