well, having grown up with the original star drek when it first aired [img]images/smiles/icon_wink.gif[/img] and all subsequent iterations, i am still annoyed about the bumpy klingon heads [img]images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif[/img] squishy, i think you meant the first encounter with [b]klingons[/b], not [b]romulans[/b]…the first encounter with romulans happened during the original star drek, when there was a lot of ‘racism’ against mr spock among the crew, and suddenly seeing the romulans with their pointy ears caused extra resentment/suspicion of spock…proving once again the timeless themes of the original star trek! [img]images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif[/img] yeah, okay, it was hokey and campy too, but i still love it…fx
