Hypatia, thanx for a nicely done account of the latest ep, Lexx certainly is getting weirder, but it’s nice to see Louise Wischermann making an appearance.
Please don’t be sorry about offering your condolences, at the moment this country is drawing it’s strength from the people of the USA, we remember and mourn for all the Americans and British as almost being one nation.
Thankyou for your kind words of support, I think that we all have come a lot closer as nations in the aftermath, and the events of the last few day’s have shown that the UK and the US care about each other more than just being different nationalities.
I don’t think there is another two countries in the world, that have such a close relationship, as the US and the UK have, to us the loss of American life hurts just as much as our own losses.
One thing we must never let go of, especially now, is that feeling of unity.
Tony Blair, summed it up by saying that the anger must remain in us all for some time to come, as letting go of these emotions could mean that we eventually lose conviction when facing the enemy…and he’s right.
Some people tend to back off when the dust has settled and that’s when we must remind ourselves of what has happened, even when it’s painful to do so. It must remain in the forefront of our minds, so no thoughts of dumbing down the response we make is entertained.
I think for many the shock has passed somewhat, now is the time for rational thinking, but the anger must be kept boiling over in all of us…otherwise there is the danger that we may lose heart, so that makes posts like your’s important, you are doing everyone a favour with your thoughts and feelings, we need to keep the events of last tuesday in mind for a very long time.
