Looking Back On Season 2

Yep, the fact of the matter is, when they write good lines, our characters come “alive”. Kai, Xev and Stan frequently suffer from ‘setitup-itis’. That’s when the Beans know they want to get somewhere – fast forward the plot – without really paying attention to the characters involved.
Season 3 was full of this bizarre character torture. Season two had a bit more in the way of character developement, however, it dragged in new charaters that required setups themselves; they took away from our original players as well.
I’m a bit miffed at how things were handled. I mean even tho’ there have been some increadible eps, others have the feeling of being bungled. Oh well. Chalk it up to problems in planning and budget. If there had been more time and money perhaps things might have been different. I take heart in the masterful execution of several choice episodes – Just as I would have (And DO!) with Star Trek.
*Rustam settles down to watch Stan’s Trial again. Good choice… I did love Kai’s speech too! And where Kai has more than one line – that’s what I want to see.*
Oh, and did you get the feeling that Kai was really talking about himself? “Tainted Hero?!”
