I finished watching season 3 a while ago, and there were a few things that confused me. In the episode “The Right Horse” Beka nearly got them all killed for this random guy, then at the end it seemed like he was going to stay with her, yet he never appeared again. I thought maybe he was there, but not in the episodes, like those elusive new crewmembers, or Sam’s boyfriend in Stargate SG-1, but “Deep Midnight’s Voice” pushed that theory out of the window. Also in that episode, Tyr took the info from the probe or something at the end, Dylan came in and said they had to talk … seemed like a cliff hanger, and the next episode I was waiting to see him in the brig or something, but then he walked into Command, and nothing was ever mentioned. 😕

I don’t know if channel 4 cut important bits out of the episodes, thinking they were not important, or if they just didn’t make sense, but I would be grateful for a few thoughts from my fellow fans either way… 😀

The Right Horse- Ok, so the guy Beka risked all their lives for is Able Ladrone, who is not a “random” guy, but a guy from her past back when she was running scams with her father. Able, was a friend of her dad’s. Its my understanding that at the end of the episode, Able leaves the Andromeda to further his quest to protect the DNA that he carries from falling into the wrong hands. I was unclear as to whether he was going to try to have it removed. A process which would kill him if not done properly.

Deep Midnight’s Voice- Tyr made a copy of the info the device carries, whether he did this when they got back the Andromeda or if he did this while they where still on the planet…who knows? But Rommie is aware of the copy being made and informs Dylan. She also tells him that the Drago-Kazov are already setting up bases. Its unclear if the setting up of these military positions are a result of the info from Deep Midnight’s Voice…but one can assume that I suppose. As for the chat with Dylan…we can only assume that it was regarding tyr’s hidden agendas and his sometimes secretive behavior.

This season left us assuming a lot. 😕

I doubt parts wre deleted…I was left at a few of the episodes going WTF? Only after I watched them a time or 2 more did the pieces start to fall into place.

Thankyou! You’re right about “The Right Horse”. When I watched it before, I remembered Abel saying how he was “free to love Beka Valentine”, so assumed he would stay, but forgot about them saying how important his work was and how he was free to continue it. Watching it again it did make more sense, so thankyou. I still wish Tyr had been locked in the brig after “Deep Midnight’s Voice”, but I suppose it would have ruined the betrayal plot at the end which I enjoyed very much. I’ve not seen s4 yet, and I hope it makes more sense than this season. Somehow I doubt it though 🙁 .

If you were somewhat confused by season 3…wait until you get to season 4. I was a little confused until I watched some of the eps a second time. Then it all started making sense. And wait until yu hit season 5….That one will have you stumped. So far I have enjoyed it though. I love it when a show can challenge you that way.

Yeh, at least its not so simple that you just get bored. Figuring it all out is part of the fun. I don’t really mind getting confused, if it does actually make sense when you’ve concentrated! Some of s3 do not make sense though, no matter how many times you watch the episode, for example For Whom The Bell Tolls. I love the episode, the Harper plot anyway, cos its very funny, but the hologram/android that scared people and bent things? It was odd to say the least. Oh well, its fun, which I suppose is the main thing! Looking forward to s5 anyway, can’t wait to meet Drago Museveni! 😀

Season 5 has so far been…intersting. Some people love it, some people hate it. I guess it all depends on your perception. There are some parts that I’m still trying to make sense of…but for the most part I’ve figured most of it out.

My hope is that with the end coming near, they try to stay away from the counfusing technical stuff though. I’d rather just enjoy what is left rather that having to figure it out, you know?
