Warner Home Video has released the details of the much anticipated Babylon 5 Season 1 DVD Set (now listed on Amazon). Included on the 6 DVDs are digital transfers, introduction and commentary on some episodes by JMS, two behind-the-scenes documentaries, and a tour of the station that includes technical data and more.
The DVD set is enhanced for widescreen viewing and JMS also says it includes an on-camera introduction by him, and one of the half-hour documentaries includes all new interviews with several key production people. He also mentions targeted release dates of April 2003 for Season 2 and November 2003 for Season 3.

16th August 2002 at 9:33 pm #58384AnonymousGuestDoes anyone have any information on the difference between R1 & R2 (UK) Season 1 DVD sets?
I want to pre-order now, but can’t find any technical info about the R2 set.
Thanks.
26th September 2002 at 12:41 pm #58385AnonymousGuestThere is indeed going to be a Region 2 version of the boxed set available – And even BETTER than that:
It will hit UK shelves in around a fortnight on the 14th of October, ahead of the release of the American version in November!!

I’ve just checked out Play.com where I’ve pre-ordered Season 1 (£34 which includes P&P, up to £5 cheaper than Amazon) and the release date seems to have been put back 2 weeks to Oct 28th. They originally had it advertised as being released on Oct 14th, just as Amazon are still displaying. Anyone got any info’ on why this has happened and whether it’s true or not?
