I had heard this was going to be the last season a while back. I’m sorry to see the end of the show but glad they are leaving us while they are still so interesting and creative. With several eps yet to be filmed, it will feel like a 5th season. It does seem to me that the cast is much more relaxed this season than in previous shows. McManus seems to be giving Kai a less stoic face and is letting just a wee tad of humanity slip thru his demeanor. Brian seems to have given Stan a little harder edge and Xenia has returned to a nicer, if more active Xev. I really look forward to each new ep.

I agree, the characters seem a bit more expansive. After Vlad, I’m delighted to see Xev exercising her heroic side. Suddenly Kai is vulnerable, and it’s Xev to the rescue!

Your right the characters do seem as though they are more comfortable in this season. Seems to bad that the series will be over at the end of this season. Looks as though they have just found their comfort level with each other.

I love seeing Xev’s heroics, she’s the character that got me interested in the show.

Vlad is already one of my favorite eps.

I’ve got to agree with you all there. It’s one thing to quit on your decline but not when you’ve just started to find your groove which the cast and crew seem to be doing with Lexx. Perhaps, expanding to the US just gave them a larger playground in which to frolick and, goodness knows, more targets to aim at, as far as comedic writing. But, the great chemistry comes across onto the screen, into our homes, and I think fans are enjoying Lexx more than ever. You know, some people have a fear of achieving great success. It can seem overwhelming. Maybe the Big Bean doesn’t want to get swept away on a tide of popularity (hey, it could happen!) Whatever the case, it seems a shame to quit when you’re finally reaching full-stride with a project.(George Lucas, on the other hand **cough!cough!** )
