KeymasterSciFi channel over here have just started showing ‘Freakylinks’. haven’t watched the first ep yet (taped it), but watched the 2nd last nite. wasn’t too sure at first, what with the obvious comparisons to the daddy of all such shows, ‘The X files’, and with the shaky Blair Witch-esque camera work. but i found by the end of the show that i was actually starting to enjoy it. just a few probs, though…
1) Why Sci Fi channel?
2) have they bought it as a slot-filler alone
3) if the above is true, is it (like so many other shows have done) going to disappear after 13 episodes?
i would hate for it to go the same way as the likes of ‘Prey’, ‘Seven Days’, and ‘Space- above and beyond’. Ok, not exactly the cream of the crop as far as scifi is concerned, but i do find it irritating that once i finally do start getting into a show, some kind soul decides to pull the plug! . please, for once can someone tell me the mad men in control aren’t going to do that???31st March 2002 at 6:31 am #43442Anonymous

Guestthat would be typical i must admit, i was concerned about Sci-Fi showing it, because generally over here they (in my opinion) only show repeats, cast-offs from other channels and programmes that are unlikely to have mass appeal (like Trek, SG1, Buffy, etc). shows like these tend to end up on Sky One first if they’re that popular. appreciate you keeping a look out for me, don’t know where to look myself!
ps- perhaps the exception to the Sci-Fi rule is Lexx, which eventually ends up on Ch.5 at some unearthly hour in the morning, but that’s the only show i can think of….
