Wow. It just so happens that TODAY I received in the mail today an EXTRA copy of Lexx The Series soundtrack CD. I thought I had cancelled that order, but here it is! If anyone wants to buy it, let me know.

I also have an extra copy of that CD, due to the Petula Clark debacle. I’d love to make a trade!

Christmas morning I put my brand new copy of the series soundtrack in my cd player and guess what was on it? Yes, thats right; Petula Clark. I was not pleased.

This has probably been addressed before but, who’s Petula Clark?

“Don’t Sleep in the Subway,” “Downtown.” Petula Clark. 1960’s British songstress with a penchant for showtunes and lite pop. She’s not bad, but she probably isn’t what you want to hear when you pop in Marty Simon.

If you have received a defective LEXX CD featuring the lovely vocals of Ms. Clark, I’d recommend contacting the label, GNP Crescendo, directly at gnp@pacificnet.net (other contact info is available at their website at www.gnpcrescendo.com). Others have had success with this. WARNING: If you *do* decide to contact GNP directly, remember that this is not their fault, so don’t go medieval on ’em. It’s a problem that occurred at their pressing plant (this happens from time to time, and can happen with *any* label’s product), and they most likely weren’t aware that it occurred until after discs were pressed and sent out (it didn’t happen with the pressing that the promotional and advance copies were from, because I have one). They, from what I have heard, have been good about replacing the faulty ones, so be courteous when dealing with ’em. They appear to be a good bunch of folks.
