ParticipantMaybe I’m just on the wrong track, but the discussion in the Six’s Tatoo thread, have got me thinking that maybe’s there’s a hidden trippin’ alphabet similar to alien alphabet used in Futurama.
Anyone want to help me out with my crazy theory? I’ll have some good vidcaps up in a few days with material to work with.

ParticipantNo, you’re just on the wrong track. Do a little research on how you write “Six” in a certain Asian language and voila!… The design looked cool. It’s that simple. We weren’t trying to get overly sophisticated when we designed it. Sorry to dissapoint…

Participantthanks, for saving me the trouble of examining every frame.
Although I did discover a lot of new background jokes last night when I did it for a little bit,
One of the billboard in the pilot episode features that stewardess alien (does she or her species have a name?) topless and bouncing around. I don’t know if it’s an ad for some sort of “alien girls gone wild” video or if its a board game. But I did notice a black bar which traveled with her chest. Was that the work of the scifi channel of the source animation? It seemed way too small and subtle for the network, which usually likes to put a big blur spot over everything.
I know its blurry, but I’m using a blown up recorded source.

ParticipantShe’s a Venetian. She’s in a TV ad in an upcoming episode, other than that you won’t be seeing too much of her. Well actually she will be in tonite’s episode too. Lotsa women in that episode. The black bars are censorship. Scifi won’t show nips and they don’t want us to pixelate.

GuestNo nips? We see nips (hehe cool name!) on the UK sci fi channel?
Shame about the censorship. I rather hoped that Trippin would get away with lots more ‘gratuitous’ because it is a cartoon (in the same way Simpsons does – although I appreciate you’ll never see a nip in the Simpsons).

Oh it does. I’m surprised that they got away with what they did, in the last episode. When they censored things, it was blatent stuff. But there was a lot of implied stuff, that was left intact. For instance the pimp going down on an alien, the cheerleaders kissing, Malak’s severed penis, his intact testicles…

GuestThe funniest part of the last ep was when the Lurkess asked:
“Is she holding what I think she’s holding?”
Yes, yes she is.
