    Kai’s Ring For His Beloved

(background: on Brunnis 2, kai once gave his “True Love” a steel ring. When she was asked why she valued such a gift instead of a ring encrusted with gems,..this was her reply!)

    The Secret of Kai’s Ring!

Ring of gold with a gem
Does not tell me what I mean to him.
Ring of steel with no stone
Tells me I am not alone.

    In the Circle,
    The Ring of Fire,
    ..Stone born,
Tells you of your love’s desire.

In the silence of my dark night,
The Steel ring tells me of my love’s Delight.
Without the Circle with none I share.
    None would approach,
    None would dare..
To find the secret of which I sing.
For few understand the Secret of the Ring!

The steel ring of my Heart’s Desire
    Holds the secrets of souls
    …Together Touching Fire.

From the firey deep of my Lover’s heart,
..Comes this secret like a dart
    Of red hot molten steel
To tell me what my lover can feel,

    ..Can feel for me alone,
    ..And that knowledge,
..The secret of a ring with no stone.

A vapid stone is not the Gem.
His jewel is what I feel for him!

    Your ring is but gold,
    My Ring is of Fire.
It speaks of my Heart’s Desire.

And till the last day of our planet’s setting sun,
..Be sure our hearts beat as one!

Ring of Gold with a gem
Does not tell me what I mean to him.
Ring of Steel with no stone,
Tells me I am not alone!

Time has no meaning here in Deep Space.
