After a recent trip to the Outpost Gallifrey website, I spotted a small piece of classic film rumour:

    quote
The UK’s Sky entertainment channel announced on August 2 that a new Doctor Who movie was about to enter production for release in the summer of 2003, made by Dreamworks SKG (the film company owned by Stephen Spielberg, David Geffen & Jeffrey Katzenberg) and produced by Will Smith — who it claims has been a fan since he was a boy.
This report is total bollocks of course (as Outpost Gallifrey seem to think…..) makes you wonder if it’s true doesn’t it

Someone emailed me a link to the Sky TV publicity page and there is no mention of a series or film for Dr. Who.

    Shame

    Darn

I heard rumor of the BBC reviving it but…I’ll have to find something more substantial on that…

Dreamworks would probably be a good company to do it, I mean look at Shrek and Galaxy Quest

Until 2 weeks ago I was sharing a house with a serious Dr Who junkie. Magazine subscriber, the works. He’s not mentioned anything about a revival of any kind. And he would have… Soz.
