SadGeezer
KeymasterBased on a True story…
**Raven walks into HMV (Music and Video store). Going straight to the DVD section (Which is all he spends his money on these days is DVDs) After looking around he sees the Lexx Series 2 Volume 1 DVD which he has been wanting for ages, he knows that he might not get served because it is 18 Rated, but he remembers before when he got served an 18 DVD which was THE EVIL DEAD. So he decided to try his luck… Walking up to the counter and placing the DVD down, the man behind the counter looked at him and said…**
Man: Umm… I’ll have to see some ID to sell you this, do you have any?
Raven: Err… No, sorry, nevermind I’ll take it back
3 DAYS LATER
**Raven is in his house, knowing he couldn’t ask his mother to buy the DVD because she objects against him watching 18 Rated DVDs, he had to find someone to buy it, and HMV was the only place they sold the Lexx DVD, Later on in the night, Raven’s sister’s boyfriend comes to his house…**
Raven: Hey stu, I need you to buy me a DVD which is 18 Rated.
Stu: No problem. What DVD?
Raven: (With a smirk on his face) Lexx.
**Raven had watched Lexx while his sister and her boyfriend was in the room and they called it “Crap” and “Cheesey” So the response was predictable, Stu burst out laughing.**
Stu: What do you want that for?
Raven: Ah just get it, it’s in HMV it’s called Lexx THE SERIES and it has all 3 members of the show on the front.
Stu: OK, I’ll get it.
THE NEXT DAY
**On his way to school, Raven gets a text message off his mobile phone, it is from stu… It said “They didn’t have Lexx, someone already bought it, and they only had 1 left.**
Raven: Oh poo.
WILL RAVEN EVER GET THE LEXX DVD? (I hope so!) FIND OUT IN THE NEXT PART!!!

Ah, but you forget that when you’re a teenager, you usually don’t know anyone with a credit card. As I recall, FX, you’re an NYC girl? (I might be wrong?) Anyway, if you live in the social desert that is the suburbs, the only people you know are your parents and the kids your own age. Maybe a few older highschool kids might have a credit card. But you have to be *cool* to know those blessed beautiful people.
I feel for you Raven. Contact me and maybe I can help you buy those discs for you. (I’ve got a credit card.) It will cost extra for shipping however. But with luck you can work it out on your own.

fg, my love, once again you are right and i stand corrected i am ,however, living in the ‘sixth borough’ now when not travelling (that would be florida, hell of a commute )i forgot about how miserable being a teenager can be; most of the little guttersnipes i knew in nyc had a way of ‘acquiring’ things that i wouldn’t know how to get, nor did i wish to know how exactly they got them… good luck raven, and let us know how the story ends

Sorry to jump in Flamegrape, but maybe I can help (being a UK’er).
If your interested I’ll see if I can get it for you Raven, or you could ask Uncle JJ, it sounds like he has got a warehouse full of Lexx goodies, anyhoo, I’ll be glad to help out if I can.
Can’t get it on credit card, because my credit card has been bad, so I set fire to it…that should teach it!!!

Does Raven live in the UK? You’re right. You could help him out more than I could.
Beers!

GuestThanks for the help guys I live in Wales in UK (1 of the more obscure countries) so it’s hard to find most things here, but i’m sure HMV will get more of the DVDs in stock, if they don’t I will order it off the Internet using my parent’s credit card or something.
