Was it me, or did Season 3 lack a lot of the fun stuff that made the first 2 seasons great — like HUMOR?
I noticed that during the whole Fire and Ice season, there were not quite as many gags and jokes per episode (Maybe it’s because 790 wasn’t around as much to insult Stan) as the previous seasons. I’ve already started collecting the series on DVD, but I’m probably only going to get the DVD that has Garden on it, because that was the only really funny episode.
All in all, Series 3 was just a tad too dark and serious, instead of twisted and funny as usual. I’m glad the new season got off to a fun start. They could spend the whole series in America for all I care, because we have sooooooooo many rednecks, religious maniacs, paranoids and other negative subcultures here to poke fun at that they’ll have plenty of joke material to last 2 seasons!!
I think for fun, 790 should get rebooted again, and fall in love with Stan, who hates him. We could have all sorts of sadomasochistic humor involving Stan drop-kicking 790, while 790 says “I adore every love-tap I get from you, love-stud!” as he falls hundreds of stories off the bridge.
Well, the Wuzzard is back, so hopefully that will begin to cover the religous nutcases part. Perhaps he could have a 700 club type thing. They could attack 790 for being a gay necrophiliac and he could insult them. I would like to see that.
