Lexx debate seems a little thin on the ground these days.
How are you guys anyway? What are you up to now? Discovered any new shows now that Lexx has left us? Any Lexx News or Gossip?
Well, for the last few days, I haven’t been able to get Saddy’s forums to load. They seem to be working again today, though. Hurray!
Now if we could just get some more Episode Reviews. [img]images/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img]
I think the reason that chat is thin is due to the obvious fact that we all have picked over every part of Lexx’s 61 episodes. Also, the show is over and no, I haven’t seen anything like it at all. I doubt that I ever will, even a spinoff will be different.

Hello guys i am new..I am bored and I am in love of Lexx, but my cable has been taken away from me [img]images/smiles/icon_sad.gif[/img] so i have to wait till it comes on DVD, at the moment I have Lexx S1-2.3 and expecting to get 2.4 asap. BTW where do you chaps get your lexx dvd’s from.
I get all of mine via Amazon.com, except for the Season 1 movies. Assuming you live in the US, you’ll have to get them from a distributor in Canada, as the Season 1 DVDs are not sold in the US.
Contrary to that notion, I actually DID get two Season 1 movies at an Electronics Boutique in the US, but I think it was a fluke. I’ve never seen them anywhere else, and you can’t get them through Amazon.
I got Eating Pattern through Videoflicks.com, but I honestly can’t recommend them. See my post about them for details.
It’s gotten real bad for me. I watched a porn movie last Friday night. I thought it was a movie about a souped up gun or something, but it was a private eye movie that had real porn in it. Got it at the Wal-Mart in Clinton, Mississippi, too. A lot of “f” words, too. It was called [i]8MM[/i]. Has Nicholas Cage in it. Made in 1999.
Cage’s character investigates an alleged snuff movie and it gets really really sleazy and bloody. Now if somebody hadn’t killed off Kai, I wouldn’t be watching Cage pour gas over some sleazebag’s head and set him on fire.
By the time I figured out it wasn’t a [i]Dirty Harry[/i] type movie, I wanted to see the ending. Was the girl really killed? Does Cage get, uh, well, you know, rear-ended when he’s chained to the bed by Machine (another character)? Can he protect his family? I never had these problems while watching Lexx. And I thought Lexx was racy. Oh, I don’t think so, anymore.
Cross-over idea.

I’m up to 5’1″ (same as I’ve been for decades), although the shoes and hair give me another 1-2″…..

I saw the edited version of this movie on cable television. It was sort of intriguing so I sat and watched the whole thing. It’s okay, I guess. Alot was lost when they edited out the swear words.
But when he unmasked Machine, I exclaimed, “It’s George Costanza!”

[img]images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif[/img]It was kind of a shock to watch [i]8MM[/i] the first time. A sort of sit sideways in the chair when the dirty bits came on. It’s definitely hardcore. Should of had an X rating, if you ask me. I watched it again a couple of hours later and really understood where Cage’s character was coming from. Through the dirtiness and violence, Cage was simply making the world a safer place for his new born daughter.
Recently I read what a French philosopher commented on something to the effect of it’s not so much what happens to you as to what you let it do to you. Cage’s character let the brutal and I mean brutal homicide of a teenage girl bring out a mix of punisher/vindicator in him. But it cost him. Remember how tortured he looked at the end of the movie where he was raking his lawn till he received the letter from the girl’s mother? Slow, stiff movements. Kinda hunched over carrying the burden of knowing he killed men. Even after the letter he still looked like he was on the edge of a nervous breakdown.
Anyway…
I miss Lexx. It’s Friday night and FarScape is running its second show. Why can’t the SciFi channel rerun the episodes from season one all over again?

Hello guys, me OG again, I have ordered these series’ and I am getting them on Monday Lexx S1-S2 Excluding 2.4 as it isn’t out here in the UK yet. Btw are there any naughty bits in the dvd that are not on the original broadcasts, hehehe. BTW does anyone know when S3 & S4 are getting released in the UK, i am wet with anticipation.. Well I’ve been tending to the Lexx Spin-Off site (http://xraylittlelexx.moonfruit.com) and also getting back into Star Wars (Attack of the Clones was superb!) and dedicating my life to Big Brother 3 (Sad Addict!). Now its World Cup time and Ive just watched England play poorly and struggle to get a 1-1 draw against Sweden. And its Sunny! Yay!
