Names

Mine’s basically just fun with language.
My real name is Caitlin which is a derivation of Cathleen which is a derivation of Catherine (stay with me here, kids), and Catalina is the Italian/Spanish version of Catherine. I always thought it was a cool name and used it in a story for a character who was basically me but cooler (all the things I like about myself, none of the things I don’t) and eventually started using it for e-mail, instant message, chatrooms, etc. Basically Catalina, my alter-ego, is Caitlin but smarter, prettier and has kick-ass martial arts skills.
