Speak for yourself. It was obvious from the beginning. Two planets, polar opposites, in eternal conflict — one a lush paradise with cities to cater to your every want, and one existing solely to punish its residents in a multitude of ways. Fire (I mean, come on, Hell is nearly *always* depicted as being chock full of fire and brimstone) is ruled by a “Prince” who is in the business of punishing “wrongdoers” and is an expert at deal-making. He encourages people to make the “wrong” decisions. The only way he could be *more* obviously Satan would be to wear a pair of red horns. Despite the fact that there was no god, the clues were all there, and were pretty easy to pick up on.
