Aliens vs Lexx

Im sure there is some influence. I have read that the beans are big fans of the original Alien and even included a homage to it in “Terminal” the scene where Eva eats that mean ol German

As for the genre, Alien(s) was really just a great horror flick that happens to take place in space(mostly). Same could be said about Lexx though I suppose. Lexx is really just an epic story that happens to take place in space(mostly). I think the greatest thing about Lexx is it takes all the obvious crap in Sci-Fi for the last 50 years and gives it a new and original spin. I swear to god if one more damn Roddenbery series comes out Ill flip. That guy had 1 dang story in his head and they made 800 series from it. Talons, Vulcans, Nietchzens they all come from the same concept he originally made Spock into. Dont get me wrong, I love star trek and I like EFC. But Sci-Fi was screaming for series like Lexx.

But absolutly JJ they do have plenty in common. I think the “organic” feel to the Universe in film is credited to Ridley Scott, but the beans perfected it and made it sexxy.

edit: I shoulda read Alecks post first. I had forgotton about 791, that was just very Alien’ish too.
