Yep, just as I figured, the sewer gases are too much for him. I think it’s rusting his innerds.
I don’t want moralistic do-hickeys in Lexx. That is one of the things that attracted me to it. You really don’t know what is gonna happen, just like real life. Well, OK, you figure the planet will get blown to bits and someone is gonna die. But how and when? Will it be an accident? On purpose? and who’s gonna do the dirty deed?
In Stan’s Trial, I loved when Kai said something to the effect of “I will do the just thing.” Referring to the fact that he would kill Stanley if it was ruled that he should die. Made me go, whoa! Kai isn’t loyal like I thought he would. A nice surprise, not what I expected at all.
Ranting along, I like being surprised. I’ve seen so many formula shows, that I can tell how the story will end before the first fifteen minutes are over. The sex and amoralistic violence makes the show different and surprising.
