The vampires as Divine Shadow essence is speculative. It is not one of the theories I’d really bet money on.

Like I said in another thread, all of my theories are based on the logical interpretation of events and dialog onscreen. Aleck is just a pyrrhonist who will doubt his eyes and ears just to maintain the illogical position that I am wrong.

My theories are almost invariably verified by future [i]Lexx[/i] episodes. I can think of five at the moment-

[b]Theory #1[/b]: 790 has part of a human brain (confirmed in [i]Norb[/i]

[b]Theory #2[/b]: Kai is animated by nanites (strongly implied in [i]K-Town[/i]).

[b]Theory #3[/b]: Earth is in the Dark Zone (implied in [i]Heaven and Hell[/i], confirmed in [i]Little Blue Planet[/i]).

[b]Theory #4[/b]: His Divine Shadow’s essence still exists (essentially everyone except Aleck believes that the dark figures in [i]Texx Lexx[/i] represent a manifestation of His Shadow)

[b]Theory #5[/b]: The fourth season on Earth will be like the [i]Star Trek[/i] episodes where they travel back in time (this one’s a little vague, but watch [i]Texx Lexx[/i], [i]P4X[/i], and [i]The Rock[/i] and you’ll see what I’m talking about).
