Yep, I am sure, F1 has a big following, but it can’t touch footy, on the day of a Grand Prix the fan turnout is larger given that they have a larger arena, but in terms of fanbase, there is nothing bigger.
Also, the F1 fanbase is in a bit of a slump recently, which was publicly highlighted during the Schumacher fiasco.
So I guess F1 is a larger spectator sport, but is not larger in fanbase terms.
