I doubt a basketball team would receive the same treatment. But anyway, well done USA, fantastic effort, regardless of the oppositions performance, a win is a win.

Unfortunately, it’s completely true. If I walked up to anyone around here and asked, “Did you know that the USA did well in it’s first 2002 World Cup match?” and they would have no idea what I’m talking about.

On the other hand, I went into a sushi bar and all the folks in there knew all about it.
