“Barbarella”- great film but is it Lexx’s closed celluoid re

I don’t really see the parallels between Lexx and Barbarella, but I got a kick out of the movie. I saw it ages ago at a dollar movie house and when it came out on video bought it. I watch it once in awhile just to get a good giggle.
As for The Day The Earth Stood Still, it is my most fave sci fi movie ever. Michael Rennie was such an elegant man and I wanted my own Gort! Next to TDTESS my next favorite would be Forbidden Planet. Those two movies were the first ones I ever bought when I got my first vcr. Over the years, I have been a fan of sci fi. Far as I’m concerned its all great stuff, even the really bad ones have a certain charm.
