OK, I’ve been waiting for someone to give it a try, but I guess I’ll have to jump in and hope I’m not completely off– maybe someone else can make approriate corrections-
French line: Oh Diable, le jour est perdue

I think the lines are actually part of Henry V but will let you look it up!
German: Geh hin und such Dir einen anderen Knecht

I have no idea where it’s from but it sure sounds like a very high minded po-em.
Maybe it’s a message to Xev? Maybe not–I’m too lazy to look for the reference.
