Well, I can understand that feeling good about being single thing. Trust me if I wasn’t into this thing for over 19 years I’d consider it. Hubby hates scenery, cultural attractions, and natural wonders. (It is true what they say about opposites attracting, living proof right here) Here is the main question. What kind of gambling (if any) do they have in Halifax? He has a weakness for that, and that alone. Since he cannot gamble here, any vacation that makes him happy, must allow it there. That is one of the reasons we have not taken a REAL vacation together for years.
I loathe and despise Las Vegas, Atlantic City and New Orleans for that reason, and if he drags me to Sheevesport one more time, I may hurl.
Trust me BlackCloud, I totally avoided any mention of Lexx or Scifi, I danced artfully around it for over an hour. Unfortunately, Hubby is of a suspicious nature, and not exactly stupid. I could almost see the little wheels turning in his mind. And then out of nowhere the bulb lit and he guessed that Halifax was connected to that Lexx-Luther (??) Crap you’ve started watching on video isn’t it. (I originally noticed Lexx when he was watching the Scifi marathon in February, I was impressed that he actually knew what the program was about)Anyhow, the negotiation when down hill from there. Even though I told him that he did not have to go to the Scifi (Lexx) crap, and he would get to wear regular clothes. Huh? About fifteen years ago I dragged him to a Society of Creative Anarchisms historical event, that apparently scarred him for life. I don’t understand it myself, he claims to like Scifi, he just doesn’t think it should leave his TV screen.
Sigh .. . . . ..
