As for the boat trip, a think a lot of people don’t care whether they see a whale, it’ll just be nice to go for the ride and the company. Either that or it’s some kind of weird macho initiation ceremony. ie who can do the Saturday night party, have one hours sleep, get up, go on the choppy water and NOT puke.
