Thanks for the welcome FX and BC! I’m glad to see I’m not the only Kai Drooler here. I’m not alone in my depravity. 😉
Well, I thought about it and wouldn’t it be neat if the crew was confronted by a would-be target from Kai’s assassin days that got away from him and hid on the Lexx? The 4,000+ year survival could be explained by saying that this person, after getting away hid him/herself away in a cryopod in a sort of auxiliary cryochamber that has not yet been discovered by the crew. This can be pulled off because Lexx is so huge so naturally all of his parts have not yet been explored. Xev (or somebody) goes exploring out of boredom one day, finds the cryochamber and wakes the person; who promptly freaks out upon seeing Kai and can’t understand why he is sentient and not hell bent on killing.
Just a thought. And it would sort of work, because even as precise a killing machine as Kai used to be would be bound to make one or two mistakes in 2,000+ years on the job. I had this plot in mind for a fanfic (even if it [i]is[/i] sort of a “White Trash” retread), ceptin’ I’m not a very good writer.:::simper:::
