I’m reminded by the van Helsing “trailer” of Universal’s 1948 [i]Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein[/i]* where A & C also meet Dracula and the Wolf Man… Sounds like if Van Helsing is intended as an homage to the golden age of Universal monster movies, then it’s a sad tribute indeed.
