“But the fourth season of Lexx is not like that. There were no inherent expectations about what is supposed to happen when they visit Earth. But that didn’t stop many here at SadBoard from making up theories about “cycles of time”, etc.”

Shaddup Flamegrape I posted some of my theories too and I still believe em!! There’s nothing wront with speculation. There’s not anything wrong with posting on these boards saying you outright hate Lexx. This board is for discussions like that imo. Doesent mean I dislike S4 at all, in fact its been my favorite of all seasons. And the fact that its only halfway over is really saying something.

I would have to add my voice to Flamegrapes here when he claims many are upset because there isnt enough science fiction *anymore* in Lexx.

Did anyone see Supernova?

Ya know, the one with 2 suns that can talk, and the crazy guy with the sperm tube lookin for a lil Stanley H Tweedle lovin?

I think thats about as funny as carrots that jump up your bum and just as scientific. The show hasent changed at all its just evolved.

The show makes fun of sci-fi, and half the time the Beans are called on about a continuity problem their answer is “lighten up its just a show” Or like when they were asked about the 2 suns in Supernova and their significance. Their answer was something along the lines “Come’on 2 talking Suns, thats really cool! And no it doesent mean anything its just 2 talking stars” Sure Series 3 took a huge turn with its metaphysics but it still looked at Heaven and Hell from an hrmm obtuse point of view. With a look at Hell and Heaven that would make Dante himself grab a beer and chuckle.

edited because the rest of the post lead into a rambling on the overuse of the Dionysian term “Deus ex Machina” which strictly referred to things in the Dionysian festivals in plays such as Phaedra and Oedipus Rex.

End result: no Oberon was not a god dangling on a machinical crane nor was he strictly created for the purpose of reviving Xev, in fact quite the opposite; Xevs death led into a fantastic farse of Shakespeare and the modern *******ization of religion and ritual. I mean hell Druids worshipping their most sacred festival at a POWER PLANT, the bane to all nature?
